
What to eat and not to eat on the paleo diet
- Anything with gluten
- Grains and cereals (maize, wheat, barley, oats, quinoa, etc.)
- Legumes (lentils, beans)
- Refined sugar and artificial sweeteners. (Agave nectar, stevia white powder, anything containing corn syrup, high fructose, aspartame, splenda)
- Pasteurized milk
- Vegetable oils (corn, canola, soy, vegetable oil, etc.)
- Hydrogenated fats
- Chemically altered fats (anything that says "reduced fat," "fat-free", etc.)
- Condiments such as mayonnaise and ketchup with added sugar, preservatives, chemicals and genetically modified ingredients.
- Foods with added sugar (there are cases that even the coconut milk yogurt comes with very many sugar! That also includes ice cream and desserts)
- Highly processed meats and poultry with antibiotics, hormones, containing MSG.
- Almond Milk containing refined sugars, preservatives, carrageenan and other artificial ingredients.
- Juices / Juice powder dyes and artificial ingredients
- Fast food
Acceptable foods in the paleo diet
- Carnes
- Mariscos (seafood)
- Eggs
- Green leafy vegetables
- Plants generally
- Tubers and root vegetables
- Herbs
- Fruits in moderation
- Nuts in moderation
- Good fats like coconut oil, olive oil cold pressed.
- Almond milk, coconut and other seeds.
Acceptable foods in moderation
- Raw honey, maple syrup, stevia unprocessed.
- Chocolate black organic
- Cocoa powder
- Only in cases where the person tolerates lactose: milk and organic dairy products and raw (unpasteurized) of grazing animals.
